Challenge: Omina Designs, a home staging and organizing business, needed a brand identity that resonated with their primary audience of older homeowners (60+) and retirees, while also appealing to a broader demographic. The goal was to convey luxury, simplicity, and adaptability, and position Omina as a trusted resource for both home staging and organizing.

Process: I worked closely with the client to understand their vision and preferences, initially using darker tones to evoke comfort and nostalgia, appealing to their older clients. After reflecting on their feedback and the potential for a wider reach, I took the initiative to refresh the color palette, introducing a lighter, fresher feel that better aligned with the business’s goals and target audience. For typography, I used a serif font to speak to the older demographic’s traditional tastes, added a script font for luxury, and incorporated a modern sans-serif font to allow flexibility and appeal to younger clients.

Impact: The rebranding successfully aligned with Omina’s mission to simplify and stage homes, while also broadening its appeal. The updated design, with its inviting color palette and versatile typography, increased engagement, attracted more inquiries, and helped strengthen Omina’s presence in the market. This shift has positioned the company to better serve both its established older clientele and new, younger clients looking for home organizing and staging services.

Tools/Techniques: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canon DSLR, Placeit, and Stock Image Mockups.
